218/365 :: Monday 6 August 2018 I like picking up rocks when I visit beaches, so I have a few random rocks around my apartment. this flat one from Portage Park is my favorite, though those little ones from the Egg Harbor beach are pretty cute too. 219/365 :: Tuesday 7 August 2018 I do a lot of people watching from my windows. on this afternoon, I watched a man sit here to eat his ice cream sundae and throw a spoonful of it onto the sidewalk for his dog. he later left the garbage on the table when they left, and that seemed so strange to me because it wasn't like he had sat outside and ordered at the table. he ordered inside, and so that is where he should have brought the glasses back to. it's August so we're about halfway through peak season, and working in the service industry for almost eleven years has given me some opinions on the proper way to treat those who work hard to serve others. 220/365 :: Wednesday 8 August 2018 I got a great deal on this beautiful vintage suitcase which is still in pretty good condition considering its age. I really wanted the red one instead, but the smell of that one was a little too strong for me to invest in as my first piece of vintage luggage. I thought that the guy was just kidding when he said that the person's initials were BAD, as that was where the Tiara line nameplate was on the other one that I was looking at, but upon further inspection, it seems as though he was correct. 221/365 :: Thursday 9 August 2018 birthday cupcakes from my supervisor (: 222/365 :: Friday 10 August 2018 I always have to laugh when I get a card from my other daddy and mama because it reminds me of the time that they bought me a birthday card for Christmas because they knew I'd like the image on the front. so happy birthday, Jesus that year. 223/365 :: Saturday 11 August 2018 newest plant (birthday gift) with a hidden good luck charm inside. 224/365 :: Sunday 12 August 2018 the most perfect tomato from a friend's garden down the block. 225/365 :: Monday 13 August 2018 stopped in Rosendale at a cemetery as the sun was setting, and then there was a beautiful cornfield (or something) in the back. 226/365 :: Tuesday 14 August 2018 the last day of summer camp is always bittersweet, but this year it seemed to have flown by even faster than usual. 227/365 :: Wednesday 15 August 2018 sticker day!!! 228/365 :: Thursday 16 August 2018 Pipsticks (photo above) has been sending out a giant puffy sticker the past few months and I finally figured out where to put one! 229/365 :: Friday 17 August 2018 more books, always. 230/365 :: Saturday 18 August 2018 added a new vintage postcard to my wall display of my hometown away from home. 231/365 :: Sunday 19 August 2018
I ordered these beautiful postcards and stamps from the USPS website without realizing how big the postcards were going to be (6x8"). they are so beautiful though and could make a great gallery wall.

211/365 :: Monday 30 July 2018 thank you, Jim Dale, for your beautiful reading of my favorite series. I never thought I would get into audiobooks, but I couldn't pass up the deal that Amazon was offering. 212/365 :: Tuesday 31 July 2018 I love watching these plants grow from Tuesday to Tuesday. 213/365 :: Wednesday 1 August 2018 from Jason Reynolds' For Every One. 214/365 :: Thursday 2 August 2018 storm clouds rolling in, but I don't think it even rained. 215/365 :: Friday 3 August 2018 yesterday's mail from Japan. 216/365 :: Saturday 4 August 2018 I kind of want to buy myself a macro lens for my birthday. 217/365 :: Sunday 5 August 2018
the weekly library check-outs photo. (: 204/365 :: Monday 23 July 2018 just another day in the car to visit some of my favorite people. <3 205/365 :: Tuesday 24 July 2018 the weekly library stack photo. 206/365 :: Wednesday 25 July 2018 my landlord left the door open to one of the other (empty, obviously) apartments, so I had to go and see how cute it is. 207/365 :: Thursday 26 July 2018 a very hygge day. 208/365 :: Friday 27 July 2018 there are just stacks of books everywhere. I'm getting really excited about rereading my favorite Harry Potter book along with Harry Potter and the Sacred Text very soon! it will be my first time reading along instead of just listening to the podcast (which I started listening to a year ago, when they were at the end of the third book) since I actually have a copy of this book. I actually rescued this copy from a hotel in Quito, and a year prior to taking this photo, I sat at the canal and read a chapter (Luna Lovegood, if you were wondering) in the middle of a week that turned out to be much more stressful than I was even expecting it to be. 209/365 :: Saturday 28 July 2018 lots of fun mail this week. I can't get over those stamps (The Tortoise and the Hare & The Little Engine That Could) from Hong Kong, and seeing this IKEA catalog made me really want to make the drive down to Milwaukee to visit the new store. I am so happy that I finally don't have to go through the toll roads (or the longer drive to the great city of Minneapolis) to visit my favorite Swedish store. I want all of the things. 210/365 :: Sunday 29 July 2018
