it's a foreign concept to me to have a backyard space after living in apartments for the past five years. I was once criticized in line at the grocery store for buying tomatoes because the lady behind me didn't understand how I didn't have a garden. I don't know, stranger, probably because I live in an apartment downtown where I only have a tiny front stoop and look down onto concrete sidewalk? what does it matter if I buy tomatoes at the grocery store?
