mental health-wise, this was not a good week, as evidenced by the photos below. (it turns out that there was a solar flare, and that's what I'm using as my excuse.) I only left my apartment when absolutely necessary to go to work and do just a couple (laundry and library) errands. I read a book and a half, listened to a lot of Death Cab for Cutie, and started rewatching my favorite season of Project Runway while coloring for the first time in about two years.

I don't think that I really had a "dream car" growing up. cars were changing in our family seemingly more often than most people since my dad owns a business that services, rents, and sells cars. but then this one came into my life and I had to keep her forever.

my (purple) bullet journal contains nearly nineteen months of my life... I'm sad that it's almost full, but I'm excited to start April with a clean slate!

there are only four shirts left in my closet that aren't black or grey.

for my birthday in August, I bought myself this necklace. I found out a little less than a year before that I am supposedly allergic to gold, and it was really weird for me to switch from wearing gold jewelry to silver. I don't wear a lot of jewelry, but I do feel like I need to have something on as a distraction sometimes, so I was overjoyed to find this raven skull necklace on Etsy and have been wearing it every day since it arrived.

five pairs of Converse in my closet, and three of them are stained: two with bleach, and two with paint. but the thing about Converse is that you're supposed to wear them until they literally fall apart (I once didn't realize how bad a pair of mine had gotten until I was walking in the rain and my socks got wet. whoops.), so mine have carried me through many adventures. these black ones are about two and a half years old, but my hot pink ones are closer to six!

I do leave my apartment, and sometimes I do take my camera with me. here's a photo from inside my car.

I managed to miss not one, but both, of my possible exits to take the actual highway to where I was going. but at least I got to see this beautiful school, which is apparently a haunted house in the fall.

please don't get me started on my confusion about celebrating St. Patrick's Day, but I do love getting to hear the marching band go by.

really, I would be lost without my color-coded bullet journal. Mondays are for getting as much as humanly possible done. (and also for laughing while listening to the Osbourne's podcast and swiping through Bumble.)

I went to Target for one thing, and thanks to the Target app, I knew exactly which aisle to find it in. to my surprise, the brand of earbuds I prefer was on sale (!) so I upgraded to the ones with a microphone/play and pause button. also pictured are the current checkouts from the library. I am in love with Dear Data.

I've had this Edgar Allan Poe quote hanging in my bedroom for years, but I don't know what really draws me to the quote. I do love that little raven with his heart hanging from his beak.

one year later. I tried to line up the image but the wind wasn't really helpful. it's weird how different things can become in such a short amount of time.

I pulled into the cemetery because I liked the way one of the headstones looked sticking out of the half-melted snow close to the road, but then I couldn't remember which one it was by the time I parked. so here is a broken angel instead. I love these statues so much.

I am still surprised that I've kept this plant alive for six months. (and I had to move the skulls - recurring theme this week, apparently - because they were starting to weigh down on my bookshelf a little too heavily.)

these skulls hung in my bedroom for a while before hiding in a box for about ten months, and upon finding them again, I had to find somewhere else to hang them!

tear the grey sky down for being
colors that you find displeasing
call someone to punish the wind for blowing without your permission
all these things will come to pass
the everlasting does not last
like the world that built you just to walk on your back
