218/365 :: Monday 6 August 2018 I like picking up rocks when I visit beaches, so I have a few random rocks around my apartment. this flat one from Portage Park is my favorite, though those little ones from the Egg Harbor beach are pretty cute too. 219/365 :: Tuesday 7 August 2018 I do a lot of people watching from my windows. on this afternoon, I watched a man sit here to eat his ice cream sundae and throw a spoonful of it onto the sidewalk for his dog. he later left the garbage on the table when they left, and that seemed so strange to me because it wasn't like he had sat outside and ordered at the table. he ordered inside, and so that is where he should have brought the glasses back to. it's August so we're about halfway through peak season, and working in the service industry for almost eleven years has given me some opinions on the proper way to treat those who work hard to serve others. 220/365 :: Wednesday 8 August 2018 I got a great deal on this beautiful vintage suitcase which is still in pretty good condition considering its age. I really wanted the red one instead, but the smell of that one was a little too strong for me to invest in as my first piece of vintage luggage. I thought that the guy was just kidding when he said that the person's initials were BAD, as that was where the Tiara line nameplate was on the other one that I was looking at, but upon further inspection, it seems as though he was correct. 221/365 :: Thursday 9 August 2018 birthday cupcakes from my supervisor (: 222/365 :: Friday 10 August 2018 I always have to laugh when I get a card from my other daddy and mama because it reminds me of the time that they bought me a birthday card for Christmas because they knew I'd like the image on the front. so happy birthday, Jesus that year. 223/365 :: Saturday 11 August 2018 newest plant (birthday gift) with a hidden good luck charm inside. 224/365 :: Sunday 12 August 2018 the most perfect tomato from a friend's garden down the block. 225/365 :: Monday 13 August 2018 stopped in Rosendale at a cemetery as the sun was setting, and then there was a beautiful cornfield (or something) in the back. 226/365 :: Tuesday 14 August 2018 the last day of summer camp is always bittersweet, but this year it seemed to have flown by even faster than usual. 227/365 :: Wednesday 15 August 2018 sticker day!!! 228/365 :: Thursday 16 August 2018 Pipsticks (photo above) has been sending out a giant puffy sticker the past few months and I finally figured out where to put one! 229/365 :: Friday 17 August 2018 more books, always. 230/365 :: Saturday 18 August 2018 added a new vintage postcard to my wall display of my hometown away from home. 231/365 :: Sunday 19 August 2018
I ordered these beautiful postcards and stamps from the USPS website without realizing how big the postcards were going to be (6x8"). they are so beautiful though and could make a great gallery wall.
