already the first day of summer. I love this photo, which I found at an antique store a few years ago. it hung on the wall in the entryway of my former apartment, but now it's on the fridge (most of the time). I will say that I am already ready for the temperature to be about ten degrees cooler.

day two out of three of making a batch a day of rhubarb muffins. I was trying to perfect a recipe that I found online since it was kind of bland the first time (but still good). I also didn't cut the rhubarb small enough on the first day. the second day I added some cinnamon, and then the third batch had ginger added as well.

my Grandpa found these while we were tearing out the rest of the cabinets in the kitchen this morning. they're from 1985, and naturally, I kept them. the pie crust coupon doesn't even have an expiration date on it.
